Happy Leap Year, friends!!! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a great weekend as I visited a zoo with my little one. 🙂 Also I got some time to create cards, 🙂
I love the beautiful inspiration picture at Altenew’s current Challenge.
Here’s my take.
I love that door and the distressed look of it, beautiful bright teal color with vintage look. For my card I used teal color card base and did second generation stamping using “Striped Floral” set by Altenew using Distress ink and cut it in two panels. After that I used a lace punched and cut out a strip from one of the gold with floral designed paper and inked it lightly with vintage photo Distress ink to tone down the bright golden color. I wanted something golden on my teal card panels also but I did not want to to emboss it and i do not have the gold ink pad so I tried something new. I used my Martha Stewart golden acrylic paint on the stamps and stamped it directly on my card panels and I love the look of it, It gave the sightly embossed with painted effect. I am so happy with this new experiment. I assembled my card and lastly added the sentiment from “Persian Motifs” set. Hope you will like my card.
Thank you so much for visiting and see you in few minutes with one more card. 🙂
